Senior Ryan Doherty (Newton, Mass.) and sophomores Blair Kelley (Lee, N.H.) and Evan Gates (Ridge, N.J.) all scored twice for Salve Regina. Matt Goyette tallied three times to lead NEC.

METH LEADS MONTCLAIR STATE BACK TO SKYLINE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME

Montclair, NJ (4/29/09) – Freshman attack Tyler Meth (right) scored five times while sophomore Robert Sinicola added a pair of scores and three assists as top-seeded Montclair State scored 10 times in the first half en route to a 13-5 victory over No. 4 seed Farmingdale State in the semifinals of the Skyline Conference Tournament at Sprague Field on Wednesday evening.

Dan Cooney - Delaware University



Class of '08 graduate Dan Cooney finished his freshman year at Delaware University with a .571 face-off percentage, winning 36 of 63 draws. Dan also had two assists on the year.

 

Quinnipiac Clinches GWLL Tournament Berth With 12-11 Win At Bellarmine

Alex Marotto (South Windsor, Conn.) scored the game-winning goal with 17 seconds remaining as the Quinnipiac University men's lacrosse team came from behind to defeat Bellarmine, 12-11, Saturday afternoon at Owsley B. Frazier Stadium. With the win, the Bobcats (4-8, 2-3 GWLL) clinched their second straight Great Western Lacrosse League Tournament berth. Fourth-seeded Quinnipiac will face GWLL Regular Season

Skidmore men's lax earns home playoff game with 16-10 win over Clarkson

Saratoga Springs, N.Y.-- The Skidmore College men's lacrosse team beat Clarkson University 16-10 to grab the second seed and a home playoff game in next week's Liberty League tournament.

RED HAWKS SINK SUNY-MARITIME IN REGULAR-SEASON FINALE, 15-9

Throgs Neck, NY (4/25/09) – and Robert Sinicola scored five goals while junior Taylor Bonner and sophomore Tyler Meth each registered four times as Montclair State closed out its regular-season with a 15-9 win over New York Maritime on Saturday. The Red Hawks completed their second straight undefeated Skyline regular season and will face Farmingdale in the opening round of the conference tournament on Wednesday, April 29.

Bucknell Men's Lacrosse Wins Patriot League Regular-Season Title, Will Host PL Tournament after 19-11 Win at No. 13 Colgate

4/18/2009 Behind a season-high five goals from freshman Charlie Streep, the 18th-ranked Bucknell men's lacrosse team exorcized three years of frustration against Colgate and clinched the Patriot League regular-season title Saturday afternoon against the 13th-ranked Raiders at Andy Kerr Stadium.

Strong Second Half Leads Skidmore Men's Lax Past Vassar, 17-8

The Skidmore offense was led by senior attack Nick Coppola, who tallied three goals and four assists on the afternoon, along with junior Matt Levesque, who continued his stellar season with three goals and four assists. Junior Rob Lutin had four goals for the Thoroughbreds and sophomores Jeremy Goldman and Jon Bubier had three and two goals, respectively. Goldman had two assists as well.

Montclair, NJ (4/18/09) Freshman attack Tyler Meth (right) scored the first and the last goal of the second half for Montclair State, the latter coming with 5:34 remaining in the game as the Red Hawks slipped past Muhlenberg College, 8-7 in an NCAA Division III men’s lacrosse contest at Sprague Field on Saturday afternoon.

BONNER'S LATE GOAL LIFTS MSU OVER RICHARD STOCKTON, 8-7

Pomona, NJ (4/11/09) – Junior midfielder Taylor Bonner (right) scored the game-winning goal with 3:21 remaining to lift Montclair State (8-4, 3-0) to an 8-7 victory over Richard Stockton (6-4, 1-1) in Skyline Conference action today. Bonner netted a game-high four goals and Tyler Meth added three tallies for the Red Hawks.

Bucknell Men's Lax Wins Shootout over Lehigh, 18-10, Stays Unbeaten in League

Perry Menzies and Mike Danylyshyn scored four goals apiece to lead No. 19 Bucknell to an 18-10 win over Lehigh Saturday night at chilly Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium. With the win, the Bison improved to 5-0 in the Patriot League (7-6 overall) and will now face fellow unbeaten Colgate next Saturday with home field advantage for the Patriot League Tournament on the line.

Freshmen Come Up Big in Fourth Quarter as Blue Hens Down Sacred Heart 7-6 in CAA Play

NEWARK, Del. (April 8, 2009) -- The University of Delaware dominated in every facet of the game, but the Blue Hens needed fourth quarter goals from freshmen Grant Kaleikau (above) and Justin Martinelli to post a 7-6 CAA men's lacrosse victory over Sacred Heart Wednesday night at Rullo Stadium.

Muhlenberg was outshot 52-32 by Dickinson, but sophomore Mike Horowitz (left) made 24 saves and the Mules won their third straight, 10-8. Freshman Clint Watkins (right) scored two goals.

MONTCLAIR STATE SLIDES BY KEAN IN SKLYINE CHAMPIONSHIP REMATCH, 6-4

Montclair, NJ (4/8/09) – Junior midfielder Taylor Bonner (right) scored a pair of goals, including a key unassisted tally late in the fourth quarter as Montclair State slipped past Kean University, 6-4 in a rematch of last year’s Skyline Conference championship game at Sprague Field on Wednesday evening. Sophomore midfielder Robert Sinicola added two goals and an assist as the Red Hawks (7-4) gained a small measure of revenge against the Cougars while improving to 2-0 in the Skyline Conference this season.

Men's Lacrosse Earns Come-From-Behind Win Against No. 19 Denver, 11-10

HAMDEN, Conn. – Todd Kaiser (Summit, N.J.) scored four goals and added two assists, while Kevin Benzing (Severna Park, Md.) made 16 saves as the Quinnipiac University men’s lacrosse team came from behind to defeat No. 19 Denver, 11-10, Saturday afternoon at the Quinnipiac Field Hockey & Lacrosse Turf Field. The Bobcats erased a 6-3 halftime deficit with eight of the next nine goals, covering the first 24 minutes of the second half, to earn their first win against a nationally-ranked team in program history. With the win, the Bobcats improve to 3-6 (1-2 GWLL), while the Pioneers fall to 6-5 (1-1 GWLL).

Bucknell Men's Lacrosse Claims Big Patriot League Win at Army, 8-6

Senior attackman Joe Mele matched his career high with five goals, senior Nick Sciubba made 12 saves and sophomore Jake Clarke and another huge day at the faceoff mark, leading Bucknell to an important 8-6 road win over Army on Saturday at Michie Stadium. With the victory, the Bison jumped over the .500 mark for the first time all year at 6-5, and more importantly they remained in a first-place tie with Colgate atop the Patriot League standings at 4-0.

King's Men's Laxers Earn 8-6 Win Over Alvernia

READING -- Rusty Booth scored three goals and Curtis Reinard dished out five assists to power the King’s College men’s lacrosse to a 8-6 victory over host Alvernia College Wednesday in Reading. With the win, King’s improved to 2-7 overall and 1-4 in Middle Atlantic Conference play. Alvernia, meanwhile, fell to 2-7 and 0-5 in league games.

Rutgers over Wagner 17-1

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Sophomore Kory Kelly posted his third straight hat trick and 10 different Scarlet Knights scored to lead the Rutgers men’s lacrosse team to a 17-1 victory over Wagner Tuesday evening at Yurcak Field. The one goal given up is the fewest goals surrendered by a Rutgers team since a 10-1 victory over Yale on April 4, 1998.
